We grew Marbonne for the first time in 2025 and we loved the flavour; an excellent sandwich tomato. It is described by Johnny’s Seeds as follows: “Exclusive! Superlative flavour and appearance. Marbonne is a hybrid version of the long popular French heirloom Marmande, but with improved disease resistance and vigour. Beautiful, deep red, ribbed tomatoes are borne on healthy plants. Flavour is among the best with smooth, soft texture. Very early (69 days) and high yields of 7-9 oz. fruit.” This tomato is also a great choice to be grown in your greenhouse. It is indeterminate so it should be staked, trellised, or caged, and pruned for best results. Fruit ripens over an extended period. One plant per 3.5” container.
