This is a new variety that I would like to trial in 2025. It is described by Johnny’s as follows: “Exclusive! Superlative flavour and appearance. Marbonne is a hybrid version of the long popular French heirloom Marmande, but with improved disease resistance and vigour. Beautiful, deep red, ribbed tomatoes are borne on healthy plants. Flavour is among the best with smooth, soft texture. Very early (69 days) and high yields of 7-9 oz. fruit.” This tomato is also a great choice to be grown in your greenhouse. It is indeterminate so it should be staked, trellised, or caged, and pruned for best results. Fruit ripens over an extended period. One plant per 3.5” container.
