We like Defiant’s cluster growing habit and flavour. Defiant is an early, mid-size slicer with high resistance to late blight and intermediate resistance to early blight. The 6-8 oz, globe-shaped fruit are smooth and medium-firm with good texture. Deep red internal and external colour. High-yielding, medium-sized plants are widely adaptable. It is a determinate variety which means it does not need pruning and may be grown with light support (a standard tomato cage will do nicely). The fruit ripens within a concentrated time-period. One plant per 3.5” container.
